Revolutionary War era re-enactor Tony Gerring will offer a fascinating presentation of life and times of this important period in our Nation's beginnings. Tony and his family are long-time participants at events in the region and have been regular attendees at Grass Lake's Heritage Day events.

A Civil War Collection  (Events)

Michigan Military Heritage Museum, 153 N. Union Street, Grass Lake, MI
A childhood fascination with the Civil War led Ethan Smith to begin a growing collection of Civil War artifacts. This presentation will enable you to share and learn about many of the items he has gathered and to learn much about the time period. This young man's historical knowledge will impress and amaze.

"OVER HERE" - A Michigan WWI Centennial Observation  (Events)
10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Michigan Military Heritage Museum, 153 N. Union St, Grass Lake, MI
A huge day of activities, re-enactors, period vehicles, food - drink - music is being planned. This is part of Gov. Snyder's WWI centential celebrations for our State this year and will likely be the State's largest event. Planning continues so watch this spot for frequent updates.
 
Our Coe House Museum will have Womens' Relief group activities of WWI, to compliment the Military Museum event. Coe House hours will be 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. See how the "Home Front" helped in the war effort.

Our Annual Heritage Event will have activites throughout the Village with things to do and see for everyone.
Don't miss the Auction at the Depot! GLAHC will have a couple special items to offer along with the many marvelous items from the Whistle Stop Association.
Bake Sale at the Wait Station at Coe House. Make a day of this.

This is the 2nd year for a county-wide focus on the many and varied museums available to Jackson County residents. Check out the many museums in our area. This is a great time to show your support to these many organizations that offer so much while depending on volunteers and donations.
